The gold basis theory (key word being “theory”) has attracted an academic and fund manager following.  Like most gold players, they stood confused in the spectator stands last week and probably again this morning.  The gold basis IS a great theory.  Would I bet money on it?  NO.  Gold is the world’s smallest market controlled by the world’s largest money.  I’ll dare to suggest the “Basis Brigade” should consider applying the pyramiding concepts to what they do.
